Learning Environments
With movable walls, state-of-the-art technology, seating that encourages an exchange of ideas and discussions, the Mendoza College of Business features a number of classroom spaces that foster an innovative and creative collaborative learning environment.
One of the largest buildings on campus at 196,986 square feet, the Mendoza College houses seven academic centers, five degree programs, and multiple custom and certificate programs.
Giovanini Commons
Located in the lower level of the Mendoza College, the Giovanini Commons is designed to allow for complete flexibility and customization. Tables, chairs, white boards, partitions and technology stations are all moveable in order to accommodate and encourage creative classroom activities. Walls, ceilings and other permanent structures are painted in vibrant colors and uniquely contoured to stimulate different sense throughout the learning center. The space can accommodate an individual looking for a quiet study nook, to larger groups working on collaborative projects.

IncITe Classroom

Designed to support both traditional IT laboratory teaching and collaborative peer education, the IncITe classroom features seven round tables with six Dell laptops per table, allowing students to easily share ideas and work together on IT projects. The state-of-the-art technology includes wall-mounted display screens—a combination of two 100-inch projector screens in the front and seven 60-inch Samsung flat screen TVs— and a unique switching technology so that individual's monitor can be shown to the entire table, or even the room at large.

- Mounted controls at each table allow any student to project his/her computer screen to one of the large LCD displays, making it easy for instructors to transition from lecture to collaborative work. - Student teams have a whiteboard next to each large LCD screen, and can present their work to the entire class at the touch of a button; - Privacy screens are mounted on the laptops for quizzes and tests. |

Jordan Auditorium
With ample space, oversized projection screen and theater seating, the Jordan Auditorium is a popular location for lectures, seminars, Masses and other special presentations for large audiences. The auditorium is equipped with an LCD projector, laptop connections, a digital overhead document camera and wireless access.

Mahaffey Business Information Center (BIC)
The BIC is the go-to place for business students who want to create presentations, log on to the Bloomberg network, brainstorm business strategies, or simply print and fax some documents. The large workspace can be divided into two rooms for instruction or independent work activities, and includes several private workstations. The BIC offers many student amenities, such as an HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One printer, fax, scanner and copier; two SmartBoards™; 29 Windows 7 PCs; and a private meeting room. Additionally, the facility features a 24-inch wide flat-panel monitor.

Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership Teleclassroom
The Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership opened a newly renovated, state-of-the-art teleclassroom in the Mendoza College's lower level in spring 2012. The classroom is fitted with advanced AV technology to be part of the Deloitte University network, the professional services company's learning community. Its flexible set-up includes eight tables and seats up to 40 people. From the podium, a lecturer can utilize a number of presentation tools, including a touchscreen monitor with annotation software that allows for making notations on a monitor that are then displayed on the larger screen. Through the use of three 60-inch 3D plasma screens, four Polycom video cameras and drop-down ceiling microphones, the classroom can connect to three remote locations at once, turning it into a worldwide portal for shared learning.

Ralph C. Stayer Center for Executive Education
Featuring Notre Dame's traditional collegiate Gothic brick-and-stone exterior, the Stayer Center for Executive Education is the home of the Notre Dame Executive Education department. In contrast to the building's classic exterior, the interior will feature a contemporary design and finishes that convey an inviting and forward-thinking learning environment. The three-story structure will occupy the land just south of the Mendoza College of Business building. It will include a chapel, five classrooms, small team breakout rooms, an executive lounge, a multi-purpose room and administrative offices. The building design features a two-story grand concourse with soaring glass windows that will connect students, participants and staff with the campus and allow natural light to stream into the building.
