BIO

Ed Conlon is Associate Dean for Graduate Studies at Mendoza College of Business and Edward Frederick Sorin Professor of Management at the University of Notre Dame. He also serves as Faculty Director of the Notre Dame/Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership. Conlon earned a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie-Mellon University. He has held positions on the faculties of Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Iowa, and as a visitor at the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Ed has published a number of research studies and book chapters on topics in organizational change, managerial decision making, and principal-agent relationships. He has also co-authored the trade book, Getting It Right: Notre Dame on Judgment and Leadership in Business. He has served on a number of editorial boards and as the editor of Academy of Management Review. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Ed teaches courses in Consulting and in Leading Change and Innovation in the MBA and EMBA programs at Notre Dame. He is a proud father, husband, and grandfather, and enjoys sketching in graphite and painting with Pastels.
