The Notre Dame Executive MBA

Campus Immersions and Electives

Campus Immersions & Electives 2

To reside at Notre Dame for weeklong studies is a special experience for many of our students who appreciate the opportunity to witness the tradition and culture of our great University up close. South Bend program students have three weeklong immersions on campus during their 21-month program. Chicago program students have three immersions during their 17-month program.

Your first on-campus experience will be orientation preceding your program start. During orientation, students have the opportunity to experience the campus fully. Our staff members schedule events and meals in different venues across campus to give students an early exposure to many of the locations students frequent. Students participate in an accounting review to prepare them for re-entry into the classroom. Spouses are an important support structure for our new students and they are invited to participate in part of the orientation.

The South Bend Executive MBA campus residencies include:

  • July/August of first year, Orientation followed by Executive Integral Leadership
  • January of first year, traditional course instruction
  • January of second year, Electives Week

In January of the second year, students select two elective courses to take during their weeklong residency at Notre Dame. This is a unique opportunity for students of both programs to come together and network with a larger group of professionals.

The Chicago Executive MBA campus residencies include:

  • January of first year, Orientation followed by Executive Integral Leadership
  • July of first year, traditional course instruction
  • January of second year, Electives Week

Elective courses change annually and are reflective of the current needs of our students. Past courses include Mergers & Acquisition, Entrepreneurship, Problem Solving, Marketing Implementation, Leadership Communications, Strategic Growth, and Business Foresight.
