Associate Professional Specialist
Jennifer A. Ziegler (Ph.D., University of Colorado) is Associate Teaching Professor of Management at the Fanning Center for Business Communication. Dr. Ziegler teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in management communication and management writing. An alumna of Georgetown University, Dr. Ziegler's first career was in public accounting. She later earned an M.A. in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado. Dr. Ziegler was previously chair and graduate program director in the Department of Communication at Valparaiso University, where she developed an expertise in digital and social media. Dr. Ziegler conducts research in the management and practice of safety in dangerous occupations (particularly wildland firefighting) with a focus on the relationship between investigative reports and organizational culture.
