You can visit http://www.gmac.com to sign up for the test and find out more about the GMAT.

Q. Can I tell you my GMAT and TOEFL score in an e-mail and find out whether or not I will be admitted to the program?

No. We review candidates based on all of the elements requested in the application and, therefore, we cannot determine one's eligibility for admission until we have a complete application.

Q. What is the average GMAT score and GPA for the M.S. in Accountancy program?

Q. What is the minimum TOEFL  score required to be considered for the M.S. in Accountancy program?

To be considered for admission, it is recommended that you have a minimum of:

Q. Can my TOEFL  score be waived?

  • ** TOEFL :   

    All non-U.S. citizen applicants (and U.S. citizen applicants, who have lived/studied extensively in other countries) must submit scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL®). The (TOEFL®) may be waived for applicants who have completed a minimum of six full-time semesters or nine full-time quarters in a U.S. university or for applicants who have completed at least six full-time semesters or nine full-time quarters from an approved university. Applicants seeking approval must submit (1) official documentation from the Registrar’s office of their undergraduate institution showing that the primary method of instruction was English and (2) receive M.S. in Accountancy Admission Committee consent.

    Please arrange for your TOEFL® scores to be reported to University of Notre code number 2456. For more information, please call 609-771-7100 or e-mail ETS at ETSinfor@ets.org. To schedule your TOEFL®, you may visitwww.ets.org/toefl/. Each candidate is responsible for having his or her official GMAT® and TOEFL® scores sent to the MSA Admissions Office under separate cover.

Q. What is the application deadline?

Application deadlines for Spring 2015 and Fall 2015:

  •     Spring Semester 2015 -  Apply starting May 15, 2014 through October 1, 2014
  •     Fall Semester 2015 - Apply starting May 15, 2014 through May 1, 2015

Q. Does the MSA program award scholarships?

Once the M.S. in Accountancy program receives the completed application, decisions regarding admission and scholarship will be made on a rolling basis. The average scholarship granted in recent years was $16,000 - $17,000 with several exceeding $30,000. 

Q. What is the cost for the program?

For the 2014-15 academic year, the costs are shown below. Please allow for at least a 3% increase in all figures for the 2015-16 academic year:

 Q. Is it ok to send a copy of my GMAT and TOEFL score or do I need to contact Pearson VUE and ETS and have an original sent? 

You may include a copy of your score initially with your application. However, upon admission, we must have official scores sent to our office. Our GMAT code (sent by Pearson VUE) is XM72D73 - - TOEFL code, if required, (sent by ETS) is 2456.

Q. I want to pay the application fee; do you accept credit cards, checks and money orders? Whom do I address it to and where do I send it?

Credit card payments must be made at the time you are submitting your on-line application. We do not accept checks or money orders.

Q. What kind of financial aid can I get for the program?

The MSA program awards "tuition-specific scholarships". For additional Financial Aid options, please contact the Financial Aid office directly. After reviewing your application, the Admissions Committee will determine a scholarship award amount. After you have confirmed with the program, you may then contact the financial aid office at the University of Notre Dame (finaidgr@nd.edu or www.financialaid.nd.edu/graduate/) for loans.

Q. When will I have an admission/scholarship decision?

Decisions are made on a rolling basis once all application materials are received. Every effort is made for an admission decision to be communicated to applicants in 2-3 weeks. However, individual circumstances may vary.

Q. Are there assistantship or job opportunities while in school?

There are employment opportunities on campus. To be considered for a teaching assistant position within the College of Business, a student must submit an updated resume to the MSA office. Professors contact students directly for these positions. For other employment opportunities on campus, students should visit the student employment website for current openings. We cannot guarantee campus employment.
