On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Notre Dame M.S. in Accountancy Program, I bid you welcome! Our MSA Program provides a balanced and flexible base on which to build your career as a professional. Since the Program’s inception in 1999, we have awarded over 2,000 MSA degrees to men and women who have joined the ranks of Notre Dame Alumni. Truly one of the blessings of graduating from Our Lady’s university is its worldwide alumni network. There are currently 135,000 Notre Dame Graduates in 220 US and 50 International alumni clubs.
We have designed our curriculum to build upon your undergraduate experience and prepare you for careers in both public and private accounting. Whether you are interested in auditing complex financial structures, analyzing merger opportunities, or providing personal tax planning, our two-semester degree program will help you achieve your goals. We do this by offering our students the opportunity to take not only challenging accounting courses, but also challenging courses in the Notre Dame MBA program. Our graduates are prepared to pursue their career aspirations in all the service lines of major CPA firms, as well as in the variety of functions of major U.S. corporations. In the past three years, 99 percent of our graduates have secured employment by graduation day.
Our outstanding faculty comprises active researchers and teaching professionals who nurture, challenge and inspire our exceptionally talented students. We believe the Notre Dame curriculum accentuates development of advanced accounting skills, while providing considerable flexibility, including many finance, management and communications electives. The case study approach used in our graduate program reinforces ethical decision making in a collaborative learning environment. The approach also allows our students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, while drawing on the talents of fellow students including, in some courses, MBA students who possess three to five years of work experience.
Thank you for your interest in the M.S. in Accountancy Program at the University of Notre Dame and for taking a closer look to see if our program is a good fit for your professional and personal goals. Please contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
