Living at notre dame
At Notre Dame, a small class size and a common purpose yield a tightly knit community of learners. Students know each other by name. Collaboration naturally flourishes; thus, lifelong friendships are born.
On campus, students are surrounded by tradition and beauty, enjoying such places as Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto for spiritual refreshment, the Sacred Heart Basilica with its architectural significance, the Hesburgh Library with its Word of Life mural, and the famous Golden Dome.
During the fall, Notre Dame Stadium welcomes thousands of Fighting Irish faithful. During the football season, Mendoza students gather in the Graduate business cheering section on Friday evenings for pre-game pep rallies. On Saturday, the students then celebrate at tailgate gatherings hosted by the Graduate Alumni Relations and cheer on the Irish together in the stadium.
The surrounding South Bend/Mishawaka community offers an array of eateries, outdoor activities, fine arts productions, and more. And within driving distance, you’ll find plenty to do in Chicago or Lake Michigan beach communities.
