Source Interlink Companies, Inc. ("SIC"), one of the largest publishers of magazines and online content for enthusiast audiences and the leading distributor of magazines in the United States, announced today the appointment of John Bode as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Bode will assume the role as Chief Financial Officer of SIC effective immediately, reporting directly to Michael L. Sullivan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Source Interlink Companies, Inc.
Bode most recently served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Finance where he had day-to-day responsibility for important corporate initiatives such as the company's successfully completed re-organization, the divestiture of its CD and DVD distribution division and the acquisition of GrindTV.com. Previously, Bode served in a variety of corporate and divisional financial positions with the company.
Prior to joining Source in 2002, Bode began his career in public accounting with BDO Seidman, LLP in its Chicago and St. Louis practice offices. Bode received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and is a Certified Public Accountant.
