Notre Dame to host open house wednesday in Chicago for executive MBA

New classroom opens in historic Santa Fe Building

The public is invited to an open house Wednesday at the University of Notre Dame’s new
executive education program site in downtown Chicago.The Mendoza College of Business recently completed construction of a classroom in the Santa Fe Building, a historic building Notre Dame owns at 224 S. Michigan Ave.

The open house will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Chicago time on Wednesday.

The 17-month executive MBA program began in 2002 in a conference center in downtown Chicago. Notre Dame’s is the third largest executive MBA program in the city, with a combined annual enrollment of two classes of about 130.

Students began utilizing the new space Aug. 1. It also is used for Notre Dame non-degree executive programs.

Notre Dame bought the 17-story Santa Fe Building in 2006. The circa-1904 building was designed by famed Chicago architect Daniel Burnham.

The Notre Dame Club of Chicago and a Notre Dame development office also are based in the building.
