Associate Teaching Professor
Brian Levey joined the Mendoza faculty in 2007 after a twenty year legal career, most recently focused on building corporate compliance and ethics programs. He currently teaches the introductory undergraduate business law course, as well as several ethics classes in the undergraduate, graduate and executive programs. Previously, Levey was Fannie Mae's Vice President for Ethics, with responsibility for the ethics and business conduct function, including the code of conduct, ethics helpline, and related training. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Levey was the Director of Compliance and Business Ethics with Smiths Group plc, an international engineering company based in the United Kingdom. Before that, Levey was a deputy ethics officer and associate counsel with MCI (formerly WorldCom and now Verizon Business). Levey has also been in private practice and served as an adjunct professor at George Mason University, George Washington University, and Northern Virginia Community College.
