As one of the earliest champions and architects of the electronic personal health record (PHR), Wendy Angst spearheaded the rapid growth of CapMed as its CEO, transforming it into a leading provider of interactive personal health management solutions for the healthcare, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries. Wendy has been with CapMed since its inception – successfully navigating through angel funding, spin-off, acquisitions, and merger – ultimately orchestrating integration of CapMed into the healthcare division of a multi-billion dollar financial services firm, FIS Global. Angst has served as an active board member with the Blood Bank of Delaware, launching the first ever Young Donor Advisory Committee aimed at increasing blood donation by the under 35 population, and served as board member of the Greater Philadelphia Health Assembly. Prior to joining CapMed, Angst was the national director for a non-profit organization that serves military veterans, growing the organization from a staff of three to over 20 direct reports in a 4-year time span. She also was a strategic consultant and special projects officer for Christiana Care Health System in Wilmington, DE and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children & King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women in Perth, Western Australia.
