The University of Notre Dame Executive MBA jumped 11 spots to rank No. 15 in the just-released Poets & Quants survey of global EMBA programs.

Poets & Quants, a resource website for individuals interested in graduate business school education, ranked 48 programs using a composite score based on the four latest ratings on EMBA programs from Bloomberg BusinessweekThe EconomistThe Financial Times and U.S. News & World Report. A school must be ranked on at least two of the four lists to be included.

Bloomberg Businessweek and The Economist both ranked Notre Dame EMBA as 15th in their most recent respective surveys.

“The Businessweek and The Economist rankings reflected high ratings for student satisfaction and the strength of our alumni network, which is very gratifying to us,” said Roger D. Huang, Martin J. Gillen Dean of the Mendoza College of Business. “The results signify not only the academic strength of the program, but the strong sense of community that is a vital part of the Notre Dame educational experience.”

The Notre Dame EMBA is offered through the Stayer Center for Executive Education, which opened a state-of-the-art, 54,000-square-foot building in March 2013 to house the executive education program. The program offers a 21-month program on the Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Ind., as well as a 17-month program on the Michigan Avenue Campus in Chicago.

“Achieving this ranking under the Poets & Quants brand is especially apropos for Notre Dame’s Executive MBA programs.  Our executives develop not only the analytical and strategic capacity to create value in their organizations, but also the ability to communicate and lead authentically,” said Paul C. Velasco, director of the Stayer Center. “The strong bond that develops between our graduates, and the alumni community, then supports them professionally and personally for years to come.”

Founded in 1980, the Stayer Center for Executive Education provides leaders in the executive and management ranks the opportunity to develop and strengthen their leadership abilities and business acumen skills. Today, Stayer Center offers non-degree as well as degree programs—including open-enrollment, custom and online – awarding about 120 degrees annually and delivering programs in 10 countries.

In keeping with the Notre Dame mission, the program emphasizes values-centered leadership in addition to academic rigor.

Every Notre Dame Executive MBA student, as well as more than 1,900 company presidents, executives and directors, have participated in the Stayer Center for Executive Education’s signature Executive Integral Leadership program, which incorporates spiritual and ethical strengths, as well as other personal dimensions into leadership development.
