Roxanne M. Martino is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aurora Investment Management L.L.C. (formerly known as Harris Alternatives L.L.C.). Aurora Investment Management L.L.C. manages over $8 billion in funds of hedge funds designed to meet various investment mandates including multi-strategy formats. Aurora Investment Management maintains a proprietary database of over 8,000 alternative investment managers and currently invests with approximately 60 managers around the world. These managers engage in non-traditional, alternative investment strategies. Aurora Investment Management L.L.C. manages four onshore partnerships, four offshore funds and serves as the Investment Adviser of Dexion Absolute. Aurora Investment Management has been managing fund of hedge fund products since 1988 and is well known for the Aurora family of funds. The onshore funds include: Aurora Limited Partnership, Aurora Limited Partnership II, Aurora Hedged Equity L.P. and Aurora Global Opportunities L.P. The offshore funds include: Aurora Offshore Fund Ltd., Aurora Offshore Fund Ltd. II, Aurora Hedged Equity Offshore Fund Ltd and Aurora Global Opportunities Offshore Fund Ltd. Roxanne has been at the firm since 1990. She spent the first seven years of her career at Coopers & Lybrand where she was a Senior Manager focusing on the commodities and securities area. She then spent over six years at Grosvenor Capital Management, where she was a general partner. Roxanne received a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame in 1977 and a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Chicago in 1988. Roxanne is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago, the Business Advisory Council (current chairperson) and the Executive Education Advisory Board of the Mendoza College of Business of the University of Notre Dame and has served as a Director of The Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. She is also a Director of Thresholds, a Chicago based not-for-profit psychiatric rehabilitation organization, serves on the Investment Subcommittee of the Board of Directors of Catholic Relief Services, the international relief and development agency, serves on the board of Children’s Memorial Foundation and the Arthur Foundation. Her memberships include The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. In addition to speaking at investment conferences, Roxanne has appeared on CNBC and CNNfn. She is also a contributing author of a chapter titled “The Due Diligence Process” in the book, Hedge Fund Strategies, 2nd Edition, and has been profiled and quoted in leading industry publications.
