Regina ("Regi") Meredith-Carpeni is Chief Operating Officer for Global Markets and Capital Markets. In this role, she oversees a team of professionals that manage product and business strategy, e-Commerce and operations controls. In addition, Regi leads the efforts to establish overall objectives, policies and strategic plans to address the group's domestic and international geographical challenges, leading our change management and thought leadership initiatives and providing insight into new and emerging best practices. Regi is also responsible for all sector administration, including the coordination of middle- and back-office activities.
Prior to assuming her current role, Regi served as the Chief Administrative Officer of BNY Mellon's Financial Markets & Treasury Services sector, which is comprised of six business lines that represent more than a third of the company's revenue. In this role, she managed a team that established best practices and executed sector-wide initiatives in various disciplines, including Communications, Employee Engagement, Marketing & Market Research, Sales Planning & Development and Learning & Development. Regi helped foster collaboration between business lines and with Shared Services by developing a number of Councils, a model also used to create EMEA's FMTS Operating Committee and the FMTS CAO Coordination Committee.
Before working with the Financial Markets & Treasury Services sector head, Regi served as CAO for Asset Servicing, where she was responsible for global strategy, learning and development, as well as executive support for the sector. She also shared responsibility with managing several shared services, such as Communications, Human Resources, Legal and Risk and Compliance.
Following the 2007 merger of The Bank of New York and Mellon Financial Corporation, Regi served as CAO for the newly-formed company's Issuer Services and Treasury Services sector. She was key in developing metrics that tracked the successful performance of various sector-wide and merger-related initiatives.
Prior to that, Regi was previously based in London for more than seven years where she held several positions, including Head of European Client Management and Head of Country Management for Europe. While in London, she was a member of the EMEA Executive Committee, European Risk Committee and Co-chair of the Global Investment Services Client Engagement Steering Committee. She was also Director BNY Holding Limited, a member of the BNY Hamilton Funds Board and also member of The Prince's Trust Women's Leadership Group.
Regi is a member of BNY Mellon's Operating Committee, CAO Roundtable, the FMTS Sector Executive Management team and the Global Diversity and Inclusion Council. She is an active member of WIN, a member of the WIN Steering Committee, and Chair of the WIN Budget and Metrics Committee. Regi was Chair of the New York City Region's 2008 Global Giving Campaign, a member of United Way Women in Philanthropy in New York City and the Prince's Trust when stationed in London. Regi is presently a Board Member of the Children of Bellevue Hospital, and served as the company's Chairperson for the 2009 New York City Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
In addition to holding a BA with honors from the University of Notre Dame, Regi holds a Masters degree in International and Public Affairs from Columbia University in New York City. She is married with two children.
