Description

"Social Impact" is a term that has increasingly become an important part of the vocabulary of the nonprofit sector and nonprofit academic programs, yet a definition of "social impact" remains fluid and elusive.  This first global conference brings together researchers, practitioners and consultants from Rome, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States who are involved in work in this area.  They will offer their research and findings, as well as help address other important questions such as: Why should we care about social impact?  What should be measured?  What tools should be used to measure?  Who is funding such research, and what does it cost to accurately measure the impact of a program on society?  What should we do with the information once it is compiled?  How should we compare results?  These are just a few of the challenges that will be discussed during the two days.  To register to attend, email Kim Brumbaugh at kbrumbau@nd.edu or call 574-631-6073.  Click to download Pdf brochure.
