Academics

At Notre Dame, business students are encouraged to be actively involved in setting your course of study every step of the way.
Your education begins in the First Year of Studies as you explore a broad liberal arts curriculum in a variety of academic areas before choosing a particular major.
In the sophomore year, you enter the business school and learn the fundamentals of business practice by taking courses in accountancy, finance, business law, management and marketing. In the second semester, you will declare a business major from among Mendoza’s offerings.
During junior and senior year, you delve deeply into your major and also take elective business courses and general University electives.
By working closely with an academic advisor, you can pursue additional majors and minors, both inside the business school and through joint programs with other academic departments throughout the University.
In addition, one half of business students study abroad by joining one of Notre Dame’s International Study Programs in locations around the globe.
