Set Your Tax Appointment

International visitors come to Notre Dame with many different circumstances (immigration status, length of stay, areas of interest, etc). These differences are factors in determining which tax laws and forms apply to each visitor.

In turn this means there are several possible return preparation scenarios. We try to match the tax needs of each tax client to the persons best suited to prepare their returns.

If you study off-campus and are not able to prepare your tax returns at an on-campus appointment, click here and follow all instructions.

If you graduated in the tax year and (a) work off-campus outside of South Bend, (b) are not able to prepare your tax returns at an on-campus appointment, and (c) are within the TAP's income limit, click here and follow all instructions.

As an international visitor can you answer YES to either of the following?

  1. You work at or are enrolled at Holy Cross College, Saint Mary's College, or Notre Dame AND you take at least one class at Notre Dame during the tax year, then you have a Notre Dame ID and are able to register for a tax return appointment.  Please continue below at Review Your Income.
  2. If you study or work at St Mary's College or Holy Cross College and are NOT registered for and attending at least one Notre Dame on-campus class during the tax year, you must obtain a guest invitation code to register for a tax return appointment.  Please email Tom Bullock for a guest invitation code and ID to use the online system. You must obtain the guest ID BEFORE building your TAX PROFILE below.
Review Your Income

If you study or work on campus in South Bend and your tax year total income exceeds the TAP's income limit by more than 10%, please email Ken Milani, the TAP Faculty Technical Coordinator, for an appointment to discuss whether your circumstances warrant a waiver from the income limit and what would be required for TAP assistance.

If you study or work on campus in South Bend and your tax year total income is within the TAP's income limit, then click on the TAX PROFILE link below.
