Q: Why should I attend UYLP?

If you are a high-potential/high-performance manager seeking to advance your leadership role and impact within your organization, the innovative UYLP may be for you.  Launched in August 2009, participants from the initial offering have given UYLP a 94% rating for overall satisfaction and a 100% rating in desire to recommend the program to others.

Participants in UYLP will have the opportunity to hone their leadership effectiveness, contribution, and self-awareness, especially around one’s own values. Past participants have gained lasting impressions including self-understanding, insight into others, an ability to lead through change while aiming for results, and networking with peers by participating in UYLP.

Q: Who qualifies for UYLP?

Individuals who have five-plus years of business experience, a willingness to immerse oneself in an innovative experience and full support of one’s manager qualify for UYLP.

Q: Will I experience the Notre Dame campus?
While attending Unleashing Your Leadership Potential, you will spend four days on Notre Dame’s historic campus. During the day, you will attend sessions in the Mendoza College of Business building, which is located directly across from the football stadium on the DeBartolo quad.  The evenings are dedicated to complementary activities designed to foster the tools of collaboration.

Q: What is the schedule?
The UYLP experience begins with a late afternoon campus tour on Day One. The following days are rich and full with content as well as complementary activities in the evening designed to foster the tools of collaboration. The days begin at 8 am and end by 9 pm. Participants should let work colleagues know that they will not be available during the day.

Q: Why does Notre Dame have an application deadline of one month prior to the start of UYLP?

To prepare for your time on campus, faculty members have recommended several short assignments for you to complete in the month prior to your arrival.

Q: Where do I stay during the program?

We will make reservations for you and all participants at a nearby hotel, either on campus or a short walk away. Lodging and all transportation from the hotel to the daily class sessions are facilitated by the University and are included in the tuition.

Q: What is the investment for the program?

Your tuition investment as an individual participant is $3,650 ($3,150 for an attendee representing a non-profit organization) and is due 30 days prior to the start of the program.

Tuition covers all instruction, assessments, materials, follow-on Community of Practice groups, lodging and meals.
