Michael J. Vogel is currently the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and is also an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Management in the Mendoza College of Business.
Mr. Vogel was Executive Vice President of Acco North America.based in Lincolnshire, IL. Acco is a world leader in the manufacturing, sourcing and marketing of office products with brands of Swingline, Kensington, Day-Timer , Wilson -Jones,GBC and Rexel. Prior to being the EVP, Mr. Vogel was President of Day-Timers in Allentown, Pa. Prior to being President of Day-Timers Vogel was Vice President ACCO Brands Commercial Office Products Sales Division .Prior to being Vice President of Commercial Products he was Vice President of manufacturing for Swingline in Long Island City, New York.
Before being involved in leadership roles in the office products industry, Michael Vogel spent nearly 30 years in the Footwear Industry with two leading companies Acme Boot Company and Genesco. While in the footwear industry he was President of Acme Boot a manufacture, wholesaler and retailer of Acme, Dingo, Dan Post, Lucchese Boots and Boot Country Retail Stores based in Clarksville, Tennessee. Prior to coming to Acme Boot Company held senior leadership positions for Genesco based in Nashville Tennessee that included President of Jarman Shoes, President of Douglas Shoes and Vice president of Johnston and Murphy.
Michael Vogel during his career has served as Chairman of the Board of KidsPeace in Allentown, Pa. a nonprofit, Board member of Memorial Hospital Health Foundation in South Bend, Advisory Board Member of Robertson Community Learning Center, and Committee member of Catholic Charities USA Board Committee of Development and Marketing. He is currently a Board member for Cass County CASA, Advisory Board member St Vincent DePaul Retail Stores of St Joseph County, Advisory Board Member for KidsPeace Foster Care of Indiana and a member of the Bakers Dozen for the Pfeil Innovation Center in South Bend, Indiana.
